Acceptance

Life is so unpredictable in so many ways.  I love yoga because it has taught me to separate my worth from the unpredictable, and sometimes painful, world around me.  Reality through the lens of self with the principles of honesty, love and peace produce serenity.  Acceptance of my own beliefs, feelings, and choosing my actions based on being true to myself  is a refreshing approach for which to live.

I have been reading a book, “Let Them” by Mel Robbins.  The Let Them theory provides such a raw and real demonstration for boundaries.  How often we lead our life based on expectations of others and compare ourselves to those who look like what we want to be or things we want to have.  This belief system leads us to live life without authenticity and increases our negative thought life.  It lacks self awareness, thus is void of self compassion which is the root of healthy self and healthy relationships.  “Let Them” has been a beautiful read and provided me to reflect on learning more about living authentically and true to self so that I can foster authentic loving relationships in my life.

It all comes down to love. The reality is that life stings sometimes.  As a human race, we fail - we lie, cheat, gossip, betray, hurt and reject self and others.  Yet, we can reframe this  into light and live a life in pursuit of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control.  It all starts with awareness of self and intention to live a life that we believe in.

Love is fostered when we forgive resentments, release anger, jealousy and judgement.  It is found in gratitude - and I choose to be grateful for everything that I have and everything that I don’t.  Let light and love rule in the hearts of people ~ that must be shared rather than more negativity.

In Love and Light!
