Mindfulness

Every practice begins with mindfulness!  We embark upon life by setting our intention to seek, experience, and reflect on the process.  Intention connects us to the present, the past, and  the path ahead.  The experience of life develops our insight, our wisdom, and provides a light unto our path. Our physical, emotional, and spiritual health is dependent on this.

In the chaos of life, we can lose sight of this.  We can find ourselves lost for direction, peace of mind, and exhausted.  This can overwhelm us to the point of giving up on areas of our life that bring us joy, love and peace.

The body and the mind have all that we need to restore us to health.  Mindfulness might look like a nature walk, listening to beautiful songs, reading a lovely poem, or preparing a nourishing meal.   The idea of mindfulness and intention propels us to learn, to discover what captivates us deep down into our soul.

 John Kabat Zinn describes mindfulness:

…has to do with examining who we are, with questioning our view of the world and our place in it, and with cultivating some appreciation for the fullness of each moment we are alive.  Most of all, it has to do with being in touch.”

Living Simply Well's intention is to inspire peace and serenity within! Connecting our mind and our body through the breath, movement, and intention is the core of what Living Simply Well seeks to accomplish.  Mindfulness exercises, imagery, affirmations during yoga practice, breath work, sound and vibration, journaling, and sharing your experience, strength and hope with others are the steps available to all of us.

Journaling

We all need an outlet for our thoughts and our feelings!  Journaling is incredibly beneficial for this.  Living Simply Well Journal and pencil set will provide you with the space to create, contemplate and explore your thoughts, beliefs, and feelings in a creative and healing technique.  This is just one step that you can take as little or as much time as you choose.

Intention cards

At Living Simply Well, we believe that change and wellbeing is a matter of intention.  At the core of all we do, we must set a goal for the sacred space we make for each other.  Please prepare for your individual sessions by creating an intention!  Our mind and body will welcome this act of self compassion!
